IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT
Please note that we have changed the way that entries appear on the squad lists. At the top of each squad list is an "as at" date. The squad lists will have been compiled on that date so obviously entries made after that date will not appear on the current squad list. Entries made after the "as at" date will appear on the next squad list.
We now have three lists : -
Squad B has the names of those that requested that Squad.
Squad C has the names of those that are confirmed in that Squad.
Squad C Requested has the names of those that requested Squad C but have yet to be allocated their Squad.
If you cannot see you name in squad C scroll down to the next list

The unofficial Tenpintour entry into the BTBA Nationals seem to have won The Team event in their division, these are provisional results, but with all entrants for Division C having bowled already, and subject to ratification by the tournament manager Dave Steiner, the team are feeling reasonably confident. The team of Hilary Cooke - Graham Stewart - Paul Nelligan and Chris Taaffe bowling under the name of TPTourminators, had a very successful day, all played above their average and had respectable finishes in the singles, doubles and all events, (so far). Next week is the final weekend and there are still plenty of talented bowlers waiting to see what they can do with the challenging oil pattern that awaits them in Stroud. The team decided that they would all wear Tenpintour shirts to keep a little bit of conformity going on, didn't really think that one through!!
B.T.B.A. Tenpintour Developments
TPT3 - Norwich cancelled due to adverse weather conditions
B.T.B.A, Tenpintour 3 Norwich
We are extremely disappointed to have to inform everyone that the event planned for this weekend has been cancelled. Obviously this is due to the adverse weather conditions and the likelihood that things are just going to get worse between now and Sunday.
I am sure that you would all prefer to bowl but it would be foolish of us to try to get people to travel all the way to Norwich and put themselves at risk.
We have spoken to the bowl and they have agreed to move the tournament date to the 15th July. Lets hope the weather has picked up a bit by then.
All entries will be moved en-bloc to the new date and we will honour everyones priority based on the existing entries. So if you were allocated Squad C for Sunday you will still get Squad C on the 15th of July. If anyone is not available or does not wish to play in the event they should complete a contact form on the TPT website and request a refund. Any spaces for Squad C that are freed up in this way will be offered to those who originally requested C in the normal way.
We apologise to those of you that have booked accommodation for the event and hope that the hotels will be understanding and offer to move your reservations to the new date.
As always we will welcome all your feedback so just drop us a line at [email protected].

B.T.B.A, Tenpintour 2018 update No 02
We are just days over a week away now from our first event of the season and we must admit that we have been taken by a bit of a surprise by the number of entries we are seeing.
A number of you have asked about how we are allocating the squads so it wont hurt to go over it here just to remind everyone. Plus we have a change of date for TPT 7 Dunstable and we are adjusting the date that we open up for entries for TPT 3 in Norwich.
TPT1 Acocks Green.
We opened up on the 28th December and had 50 entries that day alone. We planned for 72 entries and were totally sold out by the end of the 29th. The only way that we could accommodate everyone was to increase the number of bowlers on the lanes and shift the start and end times to adjust for the extra time that it would take to play the event. We did consider adding a Saturday squad but that was unpopular last year and we didn't get any favourable responses when we raised the question in update number 1 at the end of December.
So for TPT1 we are playing 5 to a pair both in the morning (B) and the afternoon (C) squads. This raises to the total number of entries that we can accommodate to 90. With 45 in each squad. It does mean that we have to start earlier and we will finish a bit later. We need everyone to be in the centre and to have registered by 8:30 and we will get practice started as soon as we can after that so registration will begin at 08:00. For the afternoon squad we want to make sure that as soon as the lanes have been dressed, we are ready to bowl. So registration for squad C will begin at 12:15 and will close at 12:45 so make sure that you are here by then. We will start squad (C) as soon as we can but all we can promise is that it won't be before 12:45.
As always priority is given to bowlers that more than 80 miles away. We use a simple distance calculator on the internet to tell us the driving distance between two points. But with so many outside the 80 mile range this time there are a lot of people that have asked for the afternoon squad but have been allocated in the morning squad. We make the decisions based on the time and date that entries and payments have been received. Occasionally some discretion is used if we are advised that there are issues with bank transfers etc. but these are few are far between.
As priority is normally available until the start of the preceding event, squads, for those living within 80 miles, can change right up to the cut off date. So please be aware that you could be listed in Squad C now but at anytime before the cut of date only you could be moved into squad B. When this happens we mark these entries as B/C, meaning that you have been allocated a place in Squad B even though you chose C. So you should always know where you stand for the next event. For TPT 2 Romford, the priority cut of date is 21st January.
Squads for TPT2 Romford
At the moment we only have lanes booked at Romford that will accommodate 80 bowlers. Given that we already have 79 entries we are working with the centre to increase this. Our plan is that if we end up with between 80 and 90 entries we will initially increase squad C to 5 to a pair and we will only increase squad B if we get more than 90 entries. Please bear this in mind when you look at the current squad lists as squad allocations may well change if we can accommodate more bowlers in the afternoon squad.
Entry dates and priority cut of dates for TPT3,
With TPT3 coming just 2 weeks after TPT2 it does not give us a lot of time to sort out final squads and get all the scoring systems sorted so we are changing the open and close dates for this event as follows:
Due to circumstances outside of our control we have had to move the date for TPT 7 from 19th to the 12th August.
Please also that on the last update we had the masters as 22nd of November and it should have been Friday 23rd November.

B.T.B.A, Tenpintour 2018 update No 01
The doors are open and we are already taking entries for the first two events of the new year. TPT 1 at Acocks Green on 21st January and TPT 2 at the City Pavillion in Romford.
We are now ready to launch into the new year and have made some minor changes to the website which you can access either by going directly to by going to https://btbatenpintour2018.weebly.com or via a link on the front page of last years website https://btbatenpintour.weebly.com. Here you will find the full schedule for the year and the squad lists will start to appear in the next few days.
We had very few responses to our questionnaires last year requesting changes to the formats etc so we are going to assume that the vast majority are happy with the way things are and continue as we left off.
Finding top quality centres that have enough lanes and want to run tournaments has been a challenge again this year and we find ourselves being restricted on the number of lanes that are going to be available. In some cases this is going to require us to either start bowling on a Saturday or increasing the number of bowlers on a pair of lanes from 4 to 5. Obviously this will make it a longer day but we really don't seem to have many options either way.
If we do increase the number of bowlers per pair we are likely to do this for the afternoon squad only so that we still get to start the afternoon session at about 12:30. We did try a Saturday squad at Mansfield last year but only had 12 bowlers enter it so we are guessing that this is your least favoured option. We will open each event up assuming 4 to a pair and we will have to see just how many entries we get so please continue to select the squad that you want to bowl in and we will only make the adjustments if we need to. As always preference will be given to those bowlers that need to travel.
It would be interesting to see what you think so please drop us a line and let us know if you would rather have a Saturday Squad or a slightly later finish on the Sunday. please write to [email protected]
The schedule for the year does have everything booked in but things do happen and the odd change may still be required to avoid other conflicts that arise etc but you will know well in advance of the event if this happens.

We planned for 72 entries at Acocks Green, but we got 84 entries in four days as the floodgates opened. To accommodate this level of enthusiasm we have re timed the squads and increased the number of bowlers per pair of lanes from four to five.
Please register for Squad B at 08:00, and Squad C at 12:15.

29th Dec 2017
Some new faces, and some very welcome returnee's we can happily report are amongst our first batch of entries. Lots of bowlers have kept the faith and remain the backbone of the tour.
So its a warm welcome back to Ruth and Frank Stander and to Sandra Boswell.
We have received 59 entries for TPT 1 Acocks Green (29/12/17) which is only 15 short of last seasons TPT 1 at Peterborough and its only day two of entry. TPT 2 has 54 entries so far, only 22 to go before we reach last years total.
A review of the winners records threw up two oversights.
Jacqui Coopers victory at the 2017 Masters was not her first, Jacqui won her first event in 2012 at the Essex Senior Singles. This makes her a two time Tenpintour Winner. The other anomaly was to do with this years OOM Champion Liz Griffin. The compiler of the records failed to include Liz's 2017 OOM Championship win which takes her total number of Tenpintour titles to Seven, not six as previously reported. This means that Liz Griffin is officially the most successful Tenpintour bowler ever ... so far.
We have had to make a couple minor tweaks to the rules.
Where the entry numbers vary for each event the distribution of the prize fund may occasionally fall below the level that we like to see awarded. We have therefore reserved the right to change the percentages, and number of prize winners if entry numbers dictate that is the sensible way to proceed. We will continue to pay out 100% of the prize fund as normal plus any added prize fund.
When determining averages and handicaps we use existing Tenpintour records. New bowlers to the tour can declare an average from their existing league or tournament records. However we reserve the right to re-rate a bowlers average if the score achieved differs significantly from the entering average. If no entering average is declared then the default average of 220 will be assumed and the handicap will be zero.
